A capsule collection based on bold silhouettes, playful graphics, and fresh take on matching sets for a contemporary, youth-driven audience.

Background

Omighty is a female streetwear brand known for its edgy, colorful aesthetic and playful approach to fashion, and their use of knits. This project explored how to translate the brand’s signature irreverence and bold visual identity into a cohesive capsule, emphasizing graphics, unexpected proportions, and vibrant colorways while staying wearable and functional.

Research

Research involved analyzing Omighty’s past collections, focusing on recurring graphic motifs, color palettes, and fabric choices. Major takeaways included the use of bold, saturated colors, mix-and-match textures, and a combination of casual silhouettes with statement elements.

Inspiration was also drawn from youth subcultures, digital graphics, and pop-cultural references, which informed both print development and material choices.

Ideation

Looking at Omighty’s archive, it was clear the brand uses two main aspects to sell their clothing. Their drops are typically made up of 5–10 designs, with each design offered in at least two colorways. The silhouettes are simple, but variation comes through trims, graphics, and playful detailing. For this project, I wanted to strike a balance between statement visuals and wearability, while also highlighting the brand’s use of cotton rather than polyester in their garments. My sketching process also tried to reflect the merchandized nature of Omighty.
